1971 Monte Carlo Original 5.7L V8 350 cu. InchOriginal 12 bolt rear axleOriginal Turbo 350 TransOriginal BodyEngine was removed and freshened up to allow use of unleaded fuel about 20 years ago and maybe 10,000 miles ago. Nothing was wrong with it.Transmission was rebuilt at the same time. Again nothing was wrong.Front Suspension, including upper and lower control arm bushings, upper and lower ball joints, pitman and idler arm, inner and outer tie rods and sleeves, and center link, front and rear coil springs, all 4 shocks, rear control arm Bushings, rear brake drums, rear shoes, wheel cylinders and hardware, front rotors, calipers, pads and hoses all replaced about 3000 miles ago. All parts cleaned and refinished at that time. All GM parts used where possible as he was a GM dealership mechanic. Otherwise he always used moog suspension parts. Car was 4 wheel aligned and drives straight and like new.New 225 75 R 15 inch BF Goodrich tires and 15x7 inch wheels All rear axle seals, and grease seals are newInterior seats have been reupholstered Interior is flawlessCar had Extreme Dynamat added when upholstery was refreshedCar has new new soundproofing between trunk and engine.Flawless engine compartment Flawless bodyA/C system was just completely redone. New evaporator, condensor, accumulator/Drier, high and low lines, and all seals. Fresh new R12 and oil replaced.New Radiator and all proper hoses installed.Car has new primary and secondary ignition.He even kept the original points ignition. I think you can see that the car is like new. You could climb in, and drive anywhere in the nation or beyond and have no more worry than taking your 2017, difference is this will turn heads.
