This is a 'Non-Running' 1985 Toyota 4Runner - engine & transmission removed. The 1985 Toyota was the last year of 4x4 with the front 'Straight Axle'. This was the first year of the Fuel Injected 2.4 liter engine & the first year of the 4Runner SUV concept by Toyota with their 4x4 Truck series. I was one of the first owners of the SR5 model. I have been the original owner of this 4Runner and after years of 'normal use' I decided to make it a project truck a few years ago for the coast. However, it became one of those back-burner projects that never got completed. I figure there is someone with interest in this 4x4 with the straight axle. It is located in Abilene, Texas and will need to be picked up from there, despite my eBay listing of Rosenberg, Texas near Houston. I am primarily selling the Body & the Transmission. I have the original block, head, crankshaft, aluminum intake components, flywheel, etc. However, after a full week last week clearing out the shop I had most of the parts at; I am missing the pistons & connecting rods and the main driveshaft. I did have a full set of the original wheels & tires, which I was going to swap out to make it easier to load onto a trailer. But those were stolen out of a building at the house. I think that is where the drive-shaft was also located?
