Welcome To CarolinaCorvettes Auctions Welcome To CarolinaCorvettes Auctions! About MeI work full time and am the single father of two wonderful children. I sell items part time, mostly BMW and Corvette parts to help fuel my passion for my own hobbies. I used to be a full time eBay seller, though have not recently had enough time to list as much. However, you can see from my feedback that I am a seasoned seller and take the time to accurately list my items. I appreciate your business! About This Item Hello Everyone, I’m listing my 99 Navy Blue Metallic Coupe Corvette for sale. It is in wonderful condition, and it should – it has less than 23k original miles. I occasionally buy Corvettes to dismantle and ran across this car earlier this year with very light damage. I had nearly all the parts to fix the car in inventory, and because the repairs were so simple, I bought it to repair and enjoy for a little while. A few months later I decided to buy a 2013 427 Convertible Corvette, and now I simply don’t need both in the garage. To start, I’m not a car dealer. This car is registered in my personal name. I did many of the repairs myself, and used a body shop I’ve worked with for many years to do the rest. I used to run a custom Corvette shop, though now it’s just a hobby as I have a professional career since I finished my doctorate. I have no reason to hide anything on this car and will simply tell things how they are. The car has a salvage SC title due to damage it received in late January 2016. I have several photos showing the damage documenting the fact it was minimal damage. The car needed a new front bumper (bumper supports and crash foam were undamaged), a inner/outer fender, and a headlight bucket. Aside from that, it had a few scratches here and there in the paint, and one of the wheels was damaged, as was one of the control arms. Airbags were not affected, and the frame remained straight and true. I had the fender, headlight, and control arm replaced from a 01 Black C5 that I had, and ordered a brand new bumper from GM. I also updated all four wheels/tires to the ones from the 01 as well as the thin spokes are just so much prettier. When I did this, I updated the TPMS (Tire pressure sensors) and Keyfob to the 01 style as well as they’re a better unit and cheaper to service in the future. The paintwork was done by a professional shop and looks great, even better as he cut/buffed the entire car to make it blend nicely. Once it was finished, I had new leather upholstery installed. It’s custom upholstery, 100% leather (unlike GM which just has the top surfaces in leather) and is black w/ blue inserts and blue stitching. This really brings out the blue in the paint and makes the whole car look great! I’ve even had the gaps further adjusted since the photos were taken a few weeks ago – they’re perfect now (though even in the pictures, it was better than most non-wrecked ones I’ve seen). This was a 1-owner car from it’s original purchase in 1999 until early 2016. I am the 2nd registered owner. It has always been in Georgia until I bought it and brought it into South Carolina. It appears to have likely been garaged and babied it’s entire life. The car is in immaculate condition and needs nothing. Many C5’s need thousands of dollars worth of restoration now, and I sell lots of parts that cost my customers tons of money to make their cars nice again. This example doesn’t need any of that. It looks great sitting next to my 5400 mile 427 convertible in the garage – they’re both in similarly excellent condition. This 99 is well equipped, and has the Z51 package, a 6 speed manual transmission, as well as a ton of goodies that most Corvette owners have come to expect. This is the coupe version, so the glass roof is removeable and can be stowed in the rear hatch. Other than the changes to the wheels, TPMS, and keyfob which were upgraded to the newer C5 spec and the seats, this car has remained unmolested. It has the original engine, original exhaust, original brakes, etc. It hasn’t been owned by some teenager wanting to rice it out. The car gets nearly 30mpg on the interstate, and it’s quiet and comfortable to drive. All it needs is a new owner. I’ve priced it very fairly, though it’s certainly not the cheapest c5 you can buy. With only 22k miles, it’s simply in better shape than 95% of the remaining examples on the road. It does have a salvage SC title. It’s difficult to finance a salvage vehicle, though I can’t imagine most people finance a 99 Corvette these days anyway. It is fully insured and legal to drive in SC. Some states require a “rebuilt” title, which is usually an inspection to make sure repairs are in order. I’m happy to provide any paperwork that may be needed to accommodate this for the new owner. If the car were newer and worth more money when the accident had happened it would have never received a salvage title, but the cost of a good paint job these days, combined with relatively expensive parts, rental car, etc just meant the cost for the insurance company to repair it was not as attractive as it once was. Lots of C5 Corvettes on the market today with clean titles have had substantially more damage than this one, even though they have clean titles. I stand behind the repairs on this car. Come take a look and I think you’ll agree – this is one of the finest examples on the market. If you buy the car and are unhappy with it when you come to pick it up, I’ll refund any deposit promptly (this doesn’t apply if you don’t come pick up the car in person). ShippingI'm happy to help accommodate shipping and have done this for many buyers in the past 2 decades, both in the US and Europe. Shipping is at the buyer's expense. Expect to pay $500-1000 for typical shipping rates. If you'd like to fly in and drive home, I'm happy to pick you up at the airport locally (GSP). I can have all paperwork for you to get a temporary tag at the local DMV. Payment should be received within 7 days via Paypal for shipped items. Those picking up their items locally should bring cash or a bank check for a branch I can walk into in the Greenville/Spartanburg SC area. Paypal is only accepted for the initial $500 deposit.
