Nice little original pickup. Rare smooth side shortbox with desirable two tone and patina. Needs Transmission work. First gear very weak(as in chatters and jumps out) I have checked linkage adjustment and it seems fine. Column shifter in excellent tight condition. Six cylinder runs smooth and tight with no rattles or knocks. Has leaky rear seal and normal seepage throughout. Clutch smooth and tight. Rear end has newer axle seals and bearings. All four wheels rebuilt brakes,new hoses,cylinders etc. Front brakes updated to mid sixties IH better wheelcylinder and shoe set-up. Steering needs pitman arm rebuild or replaced as slop on link evident. Goes down road straight and brakes do not pull. Rims 15 inch 1986 Crown Victoria ford steel with Michelin tires. Has factory AM radio above rear view mirror,dash all original uncut. Seat original with colorful blanket cover. Bumpers were rough so they were discarded. Front leaf spring removed to lower a bit. Spot mirrors and screw on aluminum wheel discs added. Pictures show previous Kansas farm rust in cab corners,outer box corners etc. This is a very sound truck that does not have salt belt cancer as evident from pics of inner radiator support, inner fenders, battery tray,under hood and box seams, and even gas tank straps(tank was cleaned at shop and treated inside and out). Original IH logo rubber floor. Floor has some pinhole rust. Windshield good but rubber rotten. Pass door glass cracked. Window regulators and door latches are fine. Tailgate needs rust and stress crack welding but straight where it matters most. Many possibilities and draws looks and compliments all the time.
