Vehicle Detail

OFFERED WITH NO RESERVE!!!!!!!! This car is so mechanically sound that I literally jumped in it last summer and drove it from Florida to New York...and it still has fewer than 10,000 miles on new engine. With only 5300 reported as being built in the then final year for a Buick Convertible, this has to be among the finest examples remaining having undergone extensive renovation in 2012. (new top $2,500, new engine $5,000, etc, etc)It was sold at a Fort Lauderdale Classic Car Auction in early 2015 and was described then as being finished in "custom white" with a white soft top, plus a white and red interior (white seats, red dash, seatbelts, door panels and carpet). The interior is in nearly perfect original condition with a dash completely free of any cracks. The car was reported to have been restored during 2012 with a new convertible top, new engine block (ATK 350V8), new muffler, new exhaust manifold, new alternator, new brake pads, new valve and belt system. Additionally, in 2015 a new water pump, new thermostat, new XHD radiator. The engine was reported at auction to have fewer than 5,000 miles...and fewer than 5,000 miles have been out on since. The car was garaged from 1990-2013 and the "very good condition" was reported at auction to reflect this storage time and associated work. The undercarriage is solid, with some surface rust and would benefit from detailing. The car sits and looks great, runs perfectly, and gets lots of compliments. There is some surface rust which I've shown in the pictures. Other than the one body panel behind rear passenger wheel well (pictured) which does have slightly more than surface rust, anywhere else there is visible rust (also pictured) it is modest surface rust which should be easily/cheaply corrected. I was going to have it done prior to offering for sale but A) I did not want it to look like I was covering something up and B) you may choose not to even fix it. I'm mentioning and highlighting the surface rust in the spirit of being open about condition...but this IS NOT A RUSTY car which would require major work. The paint shines and it sits and looks great! I tried to include pictures which show the worst...including the repair needed on the hood, which pinched the body panel, causing what you see in the picture. There are more than $12,000 in receipts since 2012...so bid away! NOTE: This car was recently offered for sale on EBAY and the high bidder never made a deposit or inspected the car, which is what it is being offered again.
