Offered for your consideration is a 1970 KARMANN GHIA coupe that requires one of everything, but is a solid restoration project. I purchased this for my wife several years ago with the intention of restoring it similar to the famous "Pretty in Pink" car. I went on vacation a few years ago (running fine when I left), but when I returned it didn't run. My mechanic was working on it and dropped something into the engine. After that, it would not run at all. I used it as a daily driver for a few years in Colorado. Speaking of Colorado; the nose damage that is evident in the scan is not from a collision. As the snow plow was headed toward my street, I had to push the vehicle into my yard with my Honda Element. I was working on the car and had the battery out. The Element lost its padding and the car sustained the damage from the "push", not an accident. There is very little apparent rust. The body seems pretty nice except some modest issues. The last time I drove it, there seemed to be a third gear issue. The little car could scoot and I hate to sell it, but also don't want to see it rot into the East Texas earth as I have several business and writing projects underway. It has had a car cover on it for a few years. The tires are low or flat and it will have to be pushed onto a transport vehicle and/or have the tires aired up. My loss is your gain. Transportation arrangements are the responsibility, and at the the cost of the buyer. I require an immediate $500 deposit, as I do with all my auctions, which has never been an issue.
