Up for NO RESERVE auction here is a 1983 HONDA NIGHTHAWK 650 - CB650SC. See the list of new parts above. Title is ready to go, clear, and I know where it is. Mechanic owned. I've got a fully restored Yamaha RD350, so this one has to go to pay the bills. Great shape for it's age. Lots of money and labor put into this thing over the past 4 years. Fires up and runs great, albeit a little cold blooded. Carbs completely drained whenever parked since carbs were cleaned and synched. Pulls FANTASTIC! No dips, bogs or surges whatsoever in the powerband. I've got the fuel screws dialed in perfectly for the garbage gasoline sold here in MA (diluted with ethanol with no other alternatives at the pump). Gets amazing fuel mileage. May run rich at idle and part-throttle cruise on pure gasoline sold in other states. Transmission shifts perfectly, and digital gear indicator on dash works perfectly, letting you know what gear you're in at all times. Tires are old, but are in decent shape - I never had an issue with sliding due to their age. I've hit corners pretty good with them without issue. I'd still recommend replacing them, however. Thing is a blast to ride. Everything in the dash panel works, and lights up. Throttle cables feel smooth when riding, but is slow to return after a snap and release. Cables are in good shape - I believe some experimentation in routing will fix that. Hydraulic clutch works perfectly. Front brake system has been totally rebuilt, minus the lever and hoses. The lever is off a Goldwing, and the geometry is not correct, so the lever can touch the bar - this is the worst of the issues with the bike. It stops fine and has been ridden a few thousand miles like this without an issue, but it needs to be mentioned in the interest of safety. Rear gear lube was changed, and filled with Amsoil synthetic. Same with the engine oil. Still has most of the 30+ year old engine seals and gaskets, so alot of them are weeping oil. It will mark it's territory like an AMF Harley. Well, maybe not quite that bad ... :) Hasn't been ridden regularly in over a year. I've started it twice this season, and have no doubt it will start and run now. I'm going to gamble and throw this one up for a NO RESERVE AUCTION! HIGH BIDDER OWNS IT!
