Vehicle Detail
1967 International 908B Short Bed Pickup Let's try this again... please do not bid if you do not know the shipping costs, do not have money for the deposit, purchase price or have permission to buy a truck. This is a solid old binder. It features a stock drive train with the 266 c.i. V8. The truck has a floor shifting 3 speed manual transmission with hydraulic clutch. The interior is in good original condition. The odometer shows 37,643 which I cannot prove is correct, but given the history and some maintenance records, I believe it is. I recommend that the mechanical systems (fuel system, brakes, cooling, oil and general maintenance) should be gone through prior to road use. The truck was stored indoors for many years and has not been driven the past couple of years. I have started this vehicle with an electric fuel pump and plastic gas can, but have never attempted to drive it (one of too many projects). The motor sounded strong with no knocking or other noises. I have been told that IH over built these motors using a high nickel content iron for the engine blocks. The truck does have an exhaust leak. It leaves drops of oil on the garage floor. I am not certain, but I believe the truck may have an older repaint in its original color. This truck does have some small dents, chips, scratches and rust spots. This would make an awesome shop truck, rat rod or mild restoration project. When was the last time you saw an International Harvester 908B? Ford, Chevy and Dodge trucks of this vintage are all over. This truck stands out. I do have the truck for sale locally and could end the auction early. Buyer is responsible for shipping/picking up the truck within one week of the sale. I will do my best to make myself available here to work with any shipping company you may arrange. Please review the payment conditions prior to bidding. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you. On Oct-29-16 at 18:55:55 PDT, seller added the following information: I added a few more photos to include some under body shots and the worst problem areas. As you can see, there is a small hole the driver and passenger floor boards from where the tires threw back water and debris, but overall it is very solid. It looks like the underside had a factory undercoating applied.
