1995 GMC SUBURBAN 6.5 TURBO DIESEL.It is a good driver I have used it to drive from Naples to Houston for the past three years , I have had any thing that it needed replaced so I would not have trouble on the road. just put in a new fuel tank and sending unit with the Air dog pump that alone was a 1500.00 add on. New starter 150.00 . Almost new tires and alignment from Firestone another 1100.00 . Shocks are three years old . Up graded the front disc brakes . Up graded the cooling system with dual high flow thermostats and high volume water pump . New oil cooler lines last year. three year old harmonic balancer . The high pressure fuel pump has 60000 miles on it since last overhaul and the injectors have 65000 since new. The exhaust has been upgraded to lager diameter pipe and the cross over pipe has also been up graded to a mandrel bend pipe. The turbo was upgraded with a Turbo - Master boost control. The PMD was up graded with a Heath Diesel PMD - Isolator system 570.00 . The ECM was up graded with the Heath Diesel Power Max - E Tork eprom. It is a good running truck on the highway or around town but it is starting to show it age and I have moved on to a newer truck at the wife's request. The bad on this truck other than the age It has a cracked windshield and if you look at the photos above the windshield there's sum rust that has started to make pin holes that I covered with the metal tape with the intention of having it repaired when the windshield was to be replaced. The AC work very good but the front blower dose not always go to the high speed setting, I have replaced the controller in the dash and that did not fix it . It still gets cool with out the highest fan setting so I was ok with it. It is a good old truck with a lot of life left as long as it is drive with respect to its age and not hot-rodded like you see so many Diesel trucks today
