1997 Geo Tracker Suzuki Sidekick 4WD 5 Speed Manual Hardtop Clean Title RV Tow This is a Geo Tracker, and is exactly the same vehicle as a Suzuki Sidekick. This is my everyday driving vehicle, although now I mostly just go to the grocery store and run errands. It spent most of its life as an RV tow car, so most of the mileage is towed mileage, not driving mileage. Health issues have taken me off the road and I no longer have an RV. It is a great little car, but it is old. Could use a mechanical overhaul, or keep an eye on fluids, etc. ProblemsCheck engine light comes on. Diagnostic code says speed sensor needs to be replaced. Otherwise should pass smog. Or register in county that doesn't require smog?Car is old. Engine gaskets need to be replaced. So leaks oil. I just keep an eye on it and don't park it in the driveway.I add engine coolant about once a month. New radiator and hoses, so not sure of the cause. Again, I just keep an eye on it.Speedometer doesn't work. I just drive the same speed as everyone else. Tachometer works fine. PlusThe car has an aftermarket removable hardtop on the back. In the front, the top easily comes off to create a fun open air T-top vehicleCar is set up to be towed by any truck or RV with a standard hitch receiver. I have a deluxe Blue Ox tow bar that can be included. EngineStarts every time. Runs great. Gaskets are old and leak, so need to watch and add oil occasionally as needed.About once a month I add coolant. TransmissionShifts easily in all gears Cosmetic issuesThe clear coat seems to be peeling on the hood. Interior front seats show some wear, and I have seat covers for them. Doesn't look like a new car, but could be spruced up. BodyThe driver door hinge strap is broken and the door was caught by the wind when I opened it in a rainstorm. As a result, it catches on the back of the rear fender when opening and closing. Does open and close completely. The hood skin is bolted down because there was a gap. Didn't really affect the hood, but made me nervous so we put two bolts in it. Hood latch itself is fine.
