This is a nice running and driving 240z. The previous owner loved this car and made some mods to improve its performance. The first thing I noticed was the l24 engine was swapped out for the upgraded l28 from a later z. This engine has the N47 heads with N33 intakes which makes for a powerful combination. The early style SU carburetors are very good carbs and are the most desirable. He also added the lovely D-slot wheels which look so good on these old z's. The transmission appears to be the stock 4 speed but the clutch does not slip and the pedal feels solid. I researched who the previous owner was and it was Odell C. Beckham Sr. I am 99.9% positive that this is Odell Beckham Jr's father's car. The car came with some paperwork in his name and the Texas Vehicle Record shows this and CarFax will support this. Not that I think there are a lot of Odell Beckham's out there but the car also had some LSU paraphernalia inside and out. The car is not perfect, the battery tray, fenders, and frame rails are all solid but there are a few spots in the floor pans that have been repaired with fiberglass patches. Those are fine now, but will need to be repaired for the car to fully appreciate in value. It also needs the multi-switch replaced. There are a few other things that the car needs, but nothing that can't be fixed by a do it yourselfer over a weekend. Overall, I think this car is driver quality. Something that you can do a "rolling restoration" on. It is not perfect but looks great from five feet and drives very well.
