Up for auction is my 2008 Porsche Boxster RS60. If you've taken the time to look in on this auction, you're probably already well aware about this limited edition 987. This car celebrates Porsche winning the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1960. This car sold for more than $64,000 dollars when new. My particular car is 1125 of 1960. My understanding is that 800 or so of these units were supposed to be shipped to the USA. I purchased the car in September of 2013 from the original owner in New York, and had the vehicle transported to Texas in an enclosed carrier. The car had a tick over 11,000 miles on it when I took possession. As you can see, I have used the car very sparingly, and only driven it on the nicest of weather days. The rest of the time, the car is in the garage, with a Battery Tender keeping things topped off. This car is adult owned, driven and maintained. No hot rodding or track days or drag racing, ever. Exterior: This RS60 like all other RS60s is finished in Porsche's "GT Silver Metallic" and the paint shows very well. The car has never spent an evening outside. It's garaged and stays inside most of the time. Front bumper has a few very teeny sand/rock chips but nothing I would consider a 'show stopper'. I have kept the outside protected with Zaino polishes and its only hand washed by myself. The wheels are a matching set of 19" SportDesign Alloy wheels, all in very nice condition, wrapped in a set of Bridgestone tires. I do believe the tires are original and are in very good condition. The cloth top operates well and the fabric is in good condition. I have used 303's convertible top protectant on the top regularly to maintain it. Interior: The interior is the standard RS60 interior, finished in Carrera Red leather. The seats, dash, door panels, carpet, are all red to match. The car still smells new. No food or drink ever allowed inside. The steeering wheel leather is in nice condition and no rips or wear. All the electronics, power windows, locks, top, gauges, switches, stereo, switchgear all work as designed, and is in top shape. The front and rear trunk compartments are in excellent condition. I've never carried anything in either, other than a bag of groceries. No stains, smells, etc. Mechanical: This RS60 has a 3.4L Flat 6 found in all later 987 Boxster S models. This engine is paired to a 5 Speed Automatic Tiptronic Transmission. The engine starts and runs beautifully with no strnage noises, smoke, leaks or drips. I have changed the motor oil myself with Mobil 1 European Formual motor oil. The transmission shifts through all the gears smoothly without any hesitation or slippage. All RS60s also include Porsche's Active Suspension Management System, and dual mode a sports exhaust that bumps up the power a tad over a regular Boxster S (303 hp). The car drives like a brand new one. Handling is tight, brakes are smooth and grab strong with no pulling or shaking. Additional Details: I have the title in hand and ready to complete the transaction. The car will come with two keys and owners manuals. Car is located on the NW Side of Houston.
