2004 SL500, purchased in Florida and wintered in Florida every year, good condition, ABC suspension has been removed and replaced with coil over suspension system from Rebuild Master Tech in Pompano Beach. The suspension was installed by RMT at their facility. Anyone who has had one of these cars with ABC can tell you about problems with ABC pump, leaky shocks, lines that rot from inside, and defective valves. When ABC goes, the car lowers to the frame and cant be driven, so if you are traveling, you are stuck where you are. My first bill was $3,400 to replace pump, then line went 100 miles into a trip, and had to have it flatbed back to home in FL this April, so I went for aftermarket suspension. Current PA inspection, tires have less than 1000 miles on them. Door locks work with infa-red only, Dealer wanted $2K for RF amplifier module, so I'll just hold the key up to handle to lock/unlock.
