1996 Mercedes Benz SL 320. 78,xxx miles. Inline 6 cylinder. Automatic. No rust or accident damage. Paint is in good condition. Some small chips from normal use. Clear coat is intact and not peeling. Cold A/C. Fully functional climate control. Good tires. All New brakes. Starts, runs,drives and shifts well. No leaks. Up to date on service. This car has both tops. We have had the headliner for the hard top redone in the original material and color. The hardtop is undamaged and fits as it should. ALL the convertible top hydraulic cylinders were replaced with rebuilt cylinders from Top Hydraulics this summer. ALL NEW CYLINDERS and fluid. The convertible top is in perfect working order. No hydraulic fluid leaking on the seats or on the ground!!! There is some cloudiness on the lower section of the rear window. The top canvas is in good shape for an original low miles top. Our inspection reveals inoperative headlight wipers and non functioning power locks. Neither of these items have been investigated further but they do not impede the function of the car. This is a nice example of a low miles SL320 in a desirable Black and Tan color and trim package. The big plus with this car over the V8 cars is the added benefit of good fuel economy, better reliability and lower maintenance costs. The big unknown with these cars is always with the top operation,condition and cost of repairs. All of those questions are answered on this car. The top does what it should... Up. Down. No leaks. This car is being relisted due to a non paying buyer/bidder on eBay. Since the last listing we have replaced all 4 brake discs with new German discs. We replaced the front and rear brake pads with new ceramic compound pads. We installed all new pad sensors and performed a brake fluid system flush and bleed.
