Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a 1931 Ford Model A coupe. Body is in great shape with great patina! No rust through except a spot or two on the drivers side inner fender panel. Also the original visor has a little bit of rust through. Other than that the body is SOLID and both doors open and close like they should. Hood and trunk are solid and both open and close freely. The original banger motor has been slightly modified. Motor has not been rebuilt since I've had it except for a new piston. All four pistons have good compression. It's a cool little coupe to ride around in! The coupe has the following or will come with the following: 1932 Ford 19" Wheels with hubcaps...great patina.Four OEM Sears tires that have a lot of good tread left on them. I've maybe put 200 miles on them.Original rumble seat. Both the seat and backrest will need to be reupholstered and then installed. Springs seem to be in good shape. Both front and rear bumpersRebuilt brakesComes with rear window glass that will need to be installed.Comes with passenger side door glass that will need to be installed. Small crack in lower corner of glass from moving it around.1950 Pontiac tail lights - reproduction New wire harnessThe seat is not original and it came out of an early 90's chevy blazer. I put an old indian blanket over it.New oil pan gasket and oil pan plug.New clutch Had the original flywheel balanced Leakless water pumpProfessionally rebuilt Stromberg 97 carburetorBurns exhaust manifold Reds HeadersNew plug wires and spark plugs Mallory distributor Valve cover...not sure what year it is or who manufactured it but it's cool!Newer head gasketComes with all the original fenders and brackets. They need a little work but for the most part they are solid.NAPA batteryOriginal horn - not hooked up.New break switch New tire tubes from Coker. This car has a lot of potential or drive as is. Car runs good and is fun to drive around. The tail lights/break lights work but the head lights still need to be wired. Leaks some oil where the transmission and motor connect. The head is stock and was sandblasted and painted when I had to replace a cracked piston. All other pistons were in good shape and all four have good compression. Original floor board is wood. The roof insert is plywood but can be changed out with a vinyl or canvas top. Missing the original roof wood cross pieces but all other wood is original and in good condition. Both doors are in awesome shape with not rust through at the bottom or top! This body is SOLID! I removed some leaf springs from the front and rear to try and lower the car a bit. I still have the other springs and I'll include them with the car. Original radiator seems to be alright but could use a cleaning and or restoration. Please ask questions before bidding on the car. Title is clear and in my name. Shipping is not included and will need to be arranged by buyer. $500 deposit is required within 24 hours after the end of auction. Balance of money is due in form of a cashiers check. Good luck!On Sep-26-16 at 03:37:23 PDT, seller added the following information: I have many more pictures.
