Vehicle Detail
I am listing this for an older friend that is not computer savvy ,So any questions should be directed to him , Call him anytime between 7AM and 8PM MST , @ 4O6=59I=9O9O, and he would be happy to answer any questions not covered below. This is just a good ol' work truck , the only rust through I can see is on the lower lip of the hood opening , (shown in pictures ) , The cab corners are solid, as are the floors, door edges, and the rest. There is minor damage on the body , consisting of the dent in the fender where I got too close with a Bobcat , while plowing snow . ( easy fix )a couple dents on top , and another , where something got stuck when the hoist was being lowered ,above the rear window, (another easy fix ) ( I can repair any of this easily and I am a novice ) If your body man says these are difficult , ,,, well , then you need to get a REAL body man . Anyway , the steps , floors , etc, are very solid .it has normal scratches and chips that come from 60 years of use , This is a survivor , and way better than most , The truck has faded paint , some old body work where paint , bondo is coming off , there was a 360/390 installed many years ago , replacing the Y-block 292 with the FE engine ,when this was being used regularly on a ranch , North of Billings, Montana , New tires were put on all the way around , and have less than 2000 miles on them , they were put on 6 years ago , just not driven much since . The truck has a hoist under around a 14 foot bed with stock racks , and the PTO and hoist work as they should , The truck runs and drives good , But, like many old farm trucks , you have to pump the brakes ( I did bleed them , but did not adjust them , did not see any master or wheel cylinder leakage ) The rig runs good , I have driven it 65 MPH , in 4th , high , it has a 4-speed , with a 2-speed rearend , the seat needs padding and a new cover , headliner is gone ,,,, hey , it is a work truck, ,, , It does have the rare , round radio in it , (unsure if it works ) This would be a great truck to bring to your job sight , for a construction company , or roofing tearoffs , or whatever you choose to do with it . Put it to work tomorrow . I was going to lower it on a motorhome chassis , and make a wedge truck out of it to haul my 55 F100 panel truck but I have way too many other projects , so I would like to give someone else the opportunity to give the old stubby the attention it deserves , , That said , please feel free to READ ABOUT ME , and my 100% positive feedback , Know who you are dealing with ! Thanx for your time. This truck is listed on many other sights , and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time .BUT, I will honor the auction and let it run it's course , ONCE reserve is reached , and those bids will be honored .
