The time has come to sell my beloved 1976 CB 500 Café Racer. This bike is a 1976 Honda CB550F. Has a mildly aggressive cam from a CB650 in it. Once cam was installed, the carbs were re-tuned (including the velocity stacks). Carbs were synchronized as well. Brakes, all fluids (including forks), clutch, plugs, and all leaking seals have all been replaced. Regulator/rectifier was replaced with a solid state version and new blade style fuses installed. The gauges are out of a CB650 and have been modified to include LED halo lights from superbrightleds.com as have the indicator lights. The handlebars and mirrors were swapped out to a café racer style. The seat pan and cushion were custom designed and fabricated using aircraft aluminum (professionally TIG welded). The paint is HOK "Persimmon" with black accent stripes/decals (painted in 2010). Inside of the tank is rust free. Modified the front chain/engine cover with hand drilled holes for weight reduction and traditional café racer design. Tires have three riding seasons on them (less than 5,000 miles). Bike has around 25,000 original miles on it. I custom built the baffles inside the muffler and tuned it by packing with steel wool between layers. The front headlight has a blue LED halo (switchable on/off) and the bike has blue LED accents throughout. The gauges have blue LED halo lights behind the bezels (all custom, one of a kind). This bike sounds very, very nice!! No turn signals. A true piece of American history here! Head turner every time.
