Vehicle Detail

This is a 1955 Chevy 150 business coupe that I have owned since 1988. It was custom hot rodded in the 1960's and I tried to retain as much of what was done then, with the car. The front and rear door panels are original to the '60's. I matched the seat covers to the door panels to keep it as was. The interior garnish moldings were chromed in the 60's and have not been redone. They are still in decent shape. The speed boat inspired tachometer holder was done in the 60's and is still there on the dash. I had the suspension and brakes updated to be safe. Even with the straight axle front end, that was chromed and not painted, the car drives straight as an arrow and is very safe and fun with it's 4 wheel disc brakes. It's got a Ford 9" rear end with period correct ladder bars instead of a 4 link for authenticity, and coil overs. There was never any rust in the body and the front tilt nose front end is all steel! The straight axle, front frame section, rear end, and tilt front end were all done professionally by Marty at Race Cars and Stuff in San Marcos CA. Custom touches were front fenders grafted into the rear quarters for the look that it has, custom built tilt with original fenders and hood that fit almost like factory with a custom hood opening for the dual quads or Hillborn Injection. Smoothed firewall, half cage for easy street use, 20 gal fuel cell, Moon tank on the front. It's got a 468 big block with period correct Aluminum L88 heads that were done by Hi Flow Performance a Schneider Roller cam, rockers, etc. Tunnel Ram with dual 700's, pro billet MSD with a 7AL2 ignition. I pre wired it for a stereo if someone wants to put one in. The car has been like it is for a couple of years and i just don't drive it anymore. It needs to go to a good home. The Tranny is a cast iron Super T-10, a very strong tranny, even more so than the aluminum one. Everything was done right. Gets all the looks at the hot rod events, especially when I start it up and give it a couple of rev shots.
