No Reserve Auction for a 2004 Ford Escape XLT. This vehicle was used as a daily commute car until October of 2014. Since then it has had limited use and primarily sits in our driveway. The body/paint are like new, and the interior is pretty nice given the age of the vehicle and the high mileage. The tires are all 75% or better and we replaced the battery and one catalytic converter last year. The air conditioning works great and the 4 wheel drive has always worked flawlessly. Now for the not so good stuff: 1. You will see that the vehicle has a reported accident. My wife backed into a tree on our property which broke the tail light and damaged the left rear quarter panel. That happened in 2010 and was professionally repaired the same year.2. The vehicle has over 218000 miles on it.3. The air bag light has a habit of coming on. Sometimes it is brief, sometimes it stays on for a long time.4. The cruise control stopped working a year ago.5. We took it for annual inspection and it failed (reasons and estimated cost below) a. Emissions - will require the second catalytic converter be replaced b. Sway bar - This has been a very dependable vehicle for us, and was nicknamed "Trusty" as we could always rely on it when the BMW or Audi had issues. That being said, we only put 6000 miles on it over the past 14 months and don't see the point of putting more repair dollars into it. Any event, it will make a great college car or utility vehicle.
