Vehicle Detail
What you're looking at is an ultra rare Corvette Stingray. Although GM didn't keep accurate production records, corvettes experts state that about 168 of these last year big block manual convertibles were produced and that probably less than 50 are still known to exist. All numbers matching drivetrain. Interior is black with black leather seats and in very decent condition. Has power windows, power brakes, and steering. Also has tilt and telescopic steering wheel. Has a new convertible top. Vehicle is unrestored with one repaint. Does have some over spray. Body is in very good shape. It has one bump on the nose where it bumped a fence post when being parked. Just needs to be prepped and repainted there. Also, has a similar small scrape on left rear corner. Engine runs decently, just had tune up. Replaced drivers side exhaust manifold as well. Good overall condition. The bad:The shifter doesn't always like to go in third and when it does, it acts like it's in neutral. I was told by a master tech that third is the main direct drive for the trans so it has to be in the shifter itself according to him. Vehicle comes with a new shifter assembly and new parking brake cables and parts, although I don't think it really needs those yet. Also, the power steering ram is leaking pretty good. They cost about $150 to replace and are easy to get to. Has a/c but blower motor not coming on and a/c probably needs recharge. Thanks for lookingOn Jul-31-16 at 06:53:00 PDT, seller added the following information: I've been asked by several members about the condition of the car underneath. From the several times I've had it on the rack where I work, nothing of concern has jumped out at me. I will get some detailed pics tomorrow (Monday) at work and try and get them posted tomorrow evening. I'll get pics of the numbers on the block, trans, and windshield piller as well. Also, for those wondering, the trans is a Borg-Warner ST10. Thanks for looking. On Aug-01-16 at 15:47:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I've added a bunch of undercarriage photos that I took today. I absolutely couldn't find any real rust, aside from surface rust, anywhere. I think this car spent most of its life inside. I couldn't add any more photos but I do have the pics of full VIN and partial vins on motor and trans. If you'd like to see those, message me your phone number and I can text them to you. Thanks.
