The BJ44 was only sold to the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) and was sporadically imported to Russia, Australia and New Zealand. It has disk brakes on front and a full floating rear axle. As for the interior, the BJ44V was the first LandCruiser with a rear seat facing forward. Previously the LandCruisers were only equipped with two folding bench seats mounted on the side. this is possible as the Bj44 is longer than the 40 series, and offers more room and a smother ride This BJ44’s is equipped with a 3.2 liter 2B engine, with 4 speed H41 transmission.. The 2B engine is amazingly reliable. Also very rare is that it come with factory air!. It has all the original seats, floor mats tools … The rims are not original, but I believe everything else is. The rear tire mount was ordered from Australia, and is is not the right fit. It could easily be modified to fit, but I did not boar new bolt holes to accommodate it. I actually would prefer a carrier that mounts on the bumper /rear membrane. They are on a number of cruisers and work better. All rust has been cut out with sheet metal welded in. This was done some time ago, and it has held up very well. There are some very minor areas that could use some attention down the road, but of no concern. The body work is good, 7 outa 10, the paint is good 7 outa 10, the mechanics are awesome 9 outa 10 or better. It travels along at highway speeds no problem, and being a diesel has incredible gas milage. Tires are great, but it does not currently have a spare. Body -7 Frame -10 Paint - 7 Interior - 7 Glass - 10 Electrical -10 Batteries - 10 Engine - 10 Basically a good cruiser ready to use. It is a not a museum piece, other wise I would be asking a considerable amount more. Considering it is a 2b Diesel, with low miles, with an amazing frame, great running gear and virtually rust free, I believe this to be a very good price. It could use some customizing/personalizing, but all that hard work has been done. It is a 30+ year old legend, that will hold its value. A number have asked ... frame and undercarriage are great. As is new exhaust, new batteries, awesome motor ...I do not want to have a prolonged sale so I will accept any offer of $12000 or above. At that price it is a steal.Currently it sits in my garage and it can stay there as long as you wish within reason.
