Up for auction is a 88 F-150 EXT 4x4 Survivor A bit of a barn find as it was taken out of service years ago. It was a daily driver and the State of Oregon used for many years until taken out of service.The truck is full sized and it has an Oregon title. Please see the photos, the description, and feel free to ask questions. This is priced to sell and this is a restoration project. I had intended on it being my restoration project but I have too many projects and I need to thin the collection. Please note that theprevious buyer did not show up and in very small black letters is his name and address on the title (on the far left side so your name would appear in much larger letters if you wish. There rest of the title is blank and there is not date etc. We can have that person go in with you, write over, cross off or you can request another title from the State.If you have reservations about this, please do not bid nor inquire as you can just move on and purchase the next 4x4 Extended Cab for under 2K. Thank you. Vehicle Description: Exterior The body appears solid. Much of the rust is surface and the original paint is fading and flaking. Because the body hasn't been repainted, you a good depiction of the soundness of the exterior.Please see the photos of the patina as well as areas that are covered by paint and those where the paint has come off from the elements.There is a small antennae on the very top. Possibly a CB at one time was part of the Interior The interior is in overall good shape and could use a good cleaning. The front bench seat has a rip where the driver sits which is pretty typical for a truck of this age.The back floor was covered with carpet and once removed, it revealed a very nice plastic surface. Everything appears to be stock and unrestored. Mechanical Truck starts and runs every time. Full size bed with plenty of space.Still, I would consider the truck a project because it has been sitting for a long time. As a result the brakes stop the car but needed to be gone through. Prior to this, the truck was a regularly maintained State vehicle until it was taken out of service. With some work to the brakes and going through the belts and houses etc, this could again be a good work truck for someone. I have tested the car by driving it on the surface streets but I have not had it on the highway. I strongly recommend that you trailer this home because of the time that is has sat for and the brakes. In addition, the handle on the rear of the gate is not present. It would be easy to find a replacement for it.The only thing that I was install a rebuilt battery from interstate.
