Vehicle Detail
This vehicle does have a rebuilt title. I purchased it with a salvage title and was transfered into a rebuilt title. The person I bought it from had purchase the car at an insurance auction. THE CAR WAS NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT. You can see this in the CarFax report. The title is that way because the car was stolen in it's previous life. When it was recovered, the insurance agency totaled the car. My assumption is the insurance company was taking care of an important customer. This is the car with an exception to the salvage title. I had body shops look to make sure that it was never wrecked and they have assured me that it has never been wrecked. This is a fantastic vehicle. I have not had any issues with it. All recalls are up to date including the VVT recall. Lexus still honors all it's service and maintenance contracts. I purchased the car with just over 20,000 miles on it in April of 2010. I have driven it just about every day since I purchased it. The car has under 70,000 miles on it. My work is only about a mile from my home which is why I've been able to keep the mileage off of it. Again, this is a great car and you will receive a great value because of the title issue. It's had zero effect on the performance or drivability of the vehicle. The vehicle is 9 years old. It does have some bumps, bruises and scratches. From a short distance the car is immaculate and with the proper buffing and touch up would look even better. The interior is very nice. The leather looks great and has shown very little wear. I'm in and out of the car many times every day and it does not show much wear at all if any. I just put new tires on it about 5000 miles ago. You can see by the tread that there is many miles remaining. They are 60,000 mile Cooper tires. The oil gets changed every 4500-5000 miles and was just changed about 100 miles ago. I have always used full synthetic oil and mostly Moblie 1. The battery is less than a year old. The brakes and rotors were all replaced about 8000 miles ago. The car has been garage kept since I purchased it. The vehicle has the 330-watt, 14-speaker Mark Levinson system with DVD viewer, as is a new-generation, DVD-based navigation system with built-in Bluetooth wireless for hands-free calls or transferring addresses from PDAs. I'm selling the car to buy a truck. If the car does not sale for what it's worth, I have no issue keeping the car and driving it another 10 years. I simply have truck fever right now and it's a good time to get one.
