Vehicle Detail

Up for sale today is my 1970 Chevelle project. I bought the car over 5 years ago with wonderful long term intentions. But as time has gone on, my priorities have shifted to my family. I have not worked on this car in years, short of putting it on jack stands and taking the starter out and putting it back in some time last year. This is a 1970 Chevelle Malibu. It is a matching numbers 350, with a TH350 Transmission, and a 12 bolt rear end. I bought it from the second owner in Alabama, and the first owner was his sister in California. The last owner stopped driving it in 1999 after he backed into the door and had difficulty getting into it (I have since bent the door's sheet metal back so that it can be opened easier)The car is completely unmolested, except for the engine. In 2011, I pulled the engine out of the car because it was frozen up from sitting so long. I disassembled it, and brought it to a machine shop to have them inspect it and machine it as necessary. They bored it .030 over, and inspected all of it and gave it the thumbs up for use. They told me the heads were the 350hp heads, and that they were in great shape. For good measure, I had them install the hardened exhaust seats, because I wanted the car to last for years to come. they ordered me a slightly better than stock camshaft, and I reassembled the engine.I began to take off the dashboard to completely rebuild the car, when my wife and I made the decision to move, and I put the engine back in the car for ease of transport. The good: -Frame is solid -Body is straight, and very minimal rust other than surface rust -Has been garaged for over 5 years -Factory AC, Power Brakes, Power Steering -Working air shocks in the rear -I have a clean title in my nameThe Bad -Car does not run, and don't know what electrical connection is missing -The car WAS a vinyl top car, and the rear window sill has rotted, but the replacement piece is 55 dollars -the interior is pretty much gone.My asking price is $4,500. I have been searching for another '70 Chevelle, one that I can drive today, and I know exactly how desirable these cars are. A big one is the Factory AC, that is hard to find apparently. Someone who knows what they are doing can revive this car into something great. Unfortunately for me, I do not have the time to do it myself. I've realizied I'd rather take the kids for a drive, than spend he next few years promising them (mostly my wife) that the car will run before the kids graduate.Contact me by text for immediate response. 860-908-3913 I can take more pictures if requested. I am home the remainder of today (Sunday) and weeknights. Car is located in Norwich, CTBuyer is responsible for shipping, and I reserve the right to remove this posting if the car sells
