You are bidding on a 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe. This Plymouth comes with the original 6 cylinder flathead motor that was rebuilt years ago. Unsure of how many miles are on the motor since the rebuild but it holds good oil pressure and smokes just a little when started. Has new master cylinder, starter and battery. Was changed over to a 12 volt alternator. Original temperature gauge, oil gauge and speedometer all work. Wipers are not hooked up. Plymouth has manual drum brakes, manual steering and an old school split exhaust manifold with dual pipes. Has a manual 3 speed transmission with column shift. Runs and drives good, just like a 1948 Plymouth. This Plymouth is what you would call a 20 footer. Not a perfect show car. It has an amateur paint job that was done 10-15 years ago and looks OK, but could be better. Paint has some chips and scuffs. The chrome trim has some dings and tarnish.(But so will we when we are almost 70 years old) Interior was redone around the same time as the paint job.(see pics) Has brand new original style LED taillights from Speedway Motors. The floor boards and trunk have been patched with metal but just over the top of the old metal, they did not cut the original metal out. The gas tank has been relocated to the trunk and the gas gauge is not hooked up. Could use some weather stripping replaced but all glass is in good shape. Car sat in storage for the last 5-6 years so may need a little tweaking here and there. All original suspension. Has 15" Chrome baby moon wheels. This car would make a fun Sunday cruiser that you don't have to worry about getting a scratch or ding. Just cruise and enjoy!!! You must have POSITIVE feedback to bid.
