1997 GMC Sierra 1500 V8 5-Speed Up for auction is a very nice GMC shortbed truck with only 83,214 miles. This is a pretty rare find. A low mileage, GMC, shortbed, lots of options, bucket seats, Vortec 350 V8, but ordered new with a 5-speed manual transmission. I love short bed trucks and this is one of the cleanest and by far the smoothest running and driving truck I've owned. The mechanicals on this truck are 100%. It is the nicest running little truck. It can sit for a month and you hit the key and cant even tell it started because the engine is so quiet. I normally put dual exhaust on all my trucks but i left this one alone because its so original and too smooth to chance ruining. Clutch feels very good, with the low miles on the truck i am assuming it to be the original. Goes into all gears nice and smooth, no throwout bearing noise when you are idling in nuetral with your foot off the clutch like most of these do. Posi 3:42 rear which is awesome for cruising plus has nice pull from a start. This truck seems very powerful but i know it is 100% stock. I've had SS454 trucks and this truck looks better and would walk an SS in a drag race. The paint is in very good condition. It seems to be original but i can not say for sure. There are some small stone chips and light scratches in areas but nothing noticeable or worth repainting. Also on the hood there is a small dent at the front edge where it meets the grill and there was a chip in the grill, looks like a big rock hit it. I repaired the grill and touched it up with factory paint in that area and the dent on the hood didnt take any paint so it isnt noticeable untill you are right up on it and are looking for it. Use it as an excuse for your wife to convince her you need a cowl hood ; ) There is absolutelty zero rust on the truck. Truck has 4 BRAND NEW raised white letter tires. They literally have less than 5 miles on them and still have all the little rubber stems on the treads. The underbody is super clean too. If anyone would like pictures of the frame and bodymounts and suspension please email me, I was only allowed 24 pictures here or i would have included them. Also I realized I hardly had any passenger side pictures so I took a couple more after I put it back in the garage and included them. Inside of the bed is very nice, it is rhino lined and has a bed mat and there are no dents. Also has a neat little gas shock on the tailgate hinge so the tailgate drops down softly. The interior is super nice for its age. Unfortunately there are a couple burn marks in the rug by the shifter and one on the drivers seat (see pics) so obviously at some point someone was smoking inside the truck. There is no trace of smell of smoke though, I'm thinking it was probably earlier in its life. If it weren't for the couple burn marks I wouldn't have been able to tell. The truck has bucket seats which is pretty cool. Power windows, power locks, cruise, tilt, Cold A/C, everything works. I have tried to be as honest and as detailed as I can as I know some of you will be bidding from far away and I want you to be sure what you are getting.
