2004 MERCEDES SL-500R: This is about as nice an SL-500 that you'll ever see. My best friend originally purchased it in New Jersey and kept it it his garage, rarely, if ever, taking it out. Then one day a few years ago he ran into some financial difficulties and asked me to take it off his hands, which I gladly did, knowing how he had lovingly taken care if it. I only take the car out once a week, at most, wash it (never with soap), go to lunch with a friend, and return it to my garage. It has never seen rain or snow, to my knowledge. Seat and pedal wear is consistent with the mileage - meaning almost nonexistent. The tires are excellent with lots of tread left. The spec sheet is included with the pictures, you can see this came with the AMG sport package, Keyless Go, wood steering wheel, etc. GPS is installed, but quite frankly seems a little outdated compared to more modern systems now available. Typical of most high-end Mercedes, this baby is like a rocket ship on rails at high speeds. The faster you go, the better it seems to handle. Everything works well; the car has always been professionally serviced (usually by M-B) and I have all the books and records. When garaged, we usually keep the Mercedes car cover on it; this will be included in the sale. Most people, when they see this car for the first time, think it is brand-new and simply cannot believe that it is 12 years old. Hopefully somebody looking for a mint, trouble-free, extremely low-mileage car will appreciate this for what it is, a rare opportunity indeed.
