ALL 4 MICHELIN TIRES HAVE EXCELLENT TREAD AND ARE FILLED WITH NITROGEN. LEATHER SEATS AND CARPETS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AS IS MOST OF THE PAINT AND BODY WORK. THERE IS A THIN PAINT SCRATCH ON THE LEFT REAR QUARTER PANEL, SOME PAINT PEALING ON THE FRONT RIGHT FENDER AND A SMALL DENT ON THE LEFT FRONT FENDER JUST BEHIND THE HEADLIGHT. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANY BODY WORK DONE ON THIS CAR. ALL PAINT IS ORIGINAL AND SHINY. NO SQUEAKS OR RATTLES. JUST A VERY SMOOTH DRIVING CAR THAT BELONGED TO MY FATHER UNTIL HE PASSED AWAY IN 2005. AFTER SITTING IN MY MOTHER'S GARAGE UNUSED UNTIL JUNE 2006, SHE GAVE IT TO ME AND I HAVE USED IT AND MAINTAINED IT MYSELF SINCE THEN. IN THE PAST 3 YEARS, I HAVE REPLACED THE WATER PUMP, AC COMPRESSOR AND CONDENSER COIL, REAR STRUTS, FRONT BREAK ROTORS AND CALIPERS AND UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD ALONG WITH GIVING IT METICULOUS MAINTENANCE. YOU’LL NOT FIND ANOTHER 1998 OLDS 88 DELTA LS AS NICE AS THIS ONE. IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A FANTASTIC OLDER OLDSMOBILE LOOK NO FURTHER, BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT IT IS 18 YEARS OLD. IT’S NOT A PERFECT NEW CAR. TO KEEP IT IN THE KIND OF CONDITION THAT IT’S IN NOW, YOU SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID OF GETTING YOUR HANDS DIRTY AND FIXING THINGS EVERY NOW AND THEN. One family owned, non-smoker, extremely well maintained. 3800 SERIES II V6 engine with 4 spd overdrive automatic transmission, power steering, brakes, windows, mirrors, seats, door locks, trunk release and antenna. Air conditioning blows cold. It also has the factory AM/FM stereo with cassette player, cruise control, alloy wheels, ABS brakes and traction control. EVERYTHING WORKS except the driver’s side power window, but I am including a brand new boxed DELPHI power window motor which you can install. All 4 MICHELIN tires have excellent tread and are filled with nitrogen. Leather seats and interior are in extremely good condition for an 18-year-old car and the exterior is also in very good shape for its age. I have taken pictures of any paint defects, but if you would like to see additional photos, please let me know and I will email them to you. There is a thin paint scratch on the left rear quarter panel, some paint peeling on the right front fender and a small dent on the left front fender just behind the headlight. There has never been any body work done on this car. All paint is shiny and original. NO squeaks or rattles – just a very smooth driving car that belonged to my father until he passed away in 2005. After sitting in my mom’s garage until June 2006, she gave it to me and I have been using and maintaining it ever since. I am a former car mechanic and very meticulous about maintenance. In the past three years, I have replaced the water pump, AC compressor and condenser coil, rear struts, front brake rotors and calipers, left front wheel bearing, and the upper intake manifold – which is made of plastic and developed a leak around the EGR port. The plastic manifold leaking is a known issue with this generation of 3800 V6 and is not very difficult or expensive to repair. If you do it yourself, it costs under $100. I replaced it in March 2015 so it should be good for a few more years. You will not find another 1998 Olds Delta LS nicer than this one. If you are looking for an older GM full size car, you will not be disappointed by this Oldsmobile, but keep in mind that THIS IS 18 YEARS OLD. IT’S NOT A PERFECT NEW CAR. To keep it in the kind of condition it is in now, YOU SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID OF GETTING YOUR HANDS DIRTY AND FIXING THINGS EVERY NOW AND THEN. If you do that, I think you will get many more years of dependable service from this wonderful Oldsmobile. I have purchased a new car and no longer need this. If I were to keep the car, I would replace the aforementioned power window motor and (in the spirit of being METICULOUS and for FULL DISCLOUSURE) I would also replace the rear metal brake lines since they are showing a bit more surface corrosion than I like to see on them. They are not currently leaking, but better safe than sorry. As I said THIS IS AN 18 YEAR OLD CAR. It is being sold AS-IS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY.
