This is a SOLID TRUCK. I have bought and sold these trucks for over 20 years. Three of my kids each had a VW diesel truck for to & from college. 45 plus MPG and space for light items. Perfect. Kids have moved on and my wife says she will know true happiness if we can reduce to 1 VW truck in the yard. This truck was my final addition a few years back. (kids never drove this one) It is by far the best original condition truck I have ever seen. All original paint - no dents - no bondo - no rust. Rockers, floorboards and shock towers...perfect. Dash has no cracks. All gauges work - even the clock. I have driven less than 1,000 miles since purchase. 1981, 1.6 liter diesel, odometer 120K, NO A/C. Overdrive transmission with 5 speeds. This truck needs nothing. New tires. New brakes. Engine rebuilt all the way to the crankshaft. This is a 35 year-old truck. Sold as is where is. Truck has not been cleaned and detailed. Engine rebuild was done by ace VW mechanic that lived in Durham but recently moved to Galax Va, rebuild just completed. Less than a 100 miles.
