Vehicle Detail

1969 Olds Cutlass Convertible partly cloned as 442 per photos. Engine a 1981/2 (hei) 455 with mild cam from prior owner. Believe third owner, prior was in process restoring with dad but he passed away. That owner picked up from friend. Car originally from Mpls, MN and drove up to central MN about 6 years ago by me. Top was in pieces. I rebuilt the frame, and had top professionally installed. The top frame has about a 3/8" kink at joint over windows. So windows do not close perfectly tight, but operate just fine. Added rear wing on trunk. Engine very strong, though car about 141,000 miles the engine I estimate at less than 40,000 miles. As takes quart oil only every 2,000 miles and performs quite well. Tranny and rear-end just fine. Hood latch missing part, have setup with hidden cord behind grille to easily open. Have Sneaky Pete NOS kit for infrequent fun use. Car runs a little rich so the 10oz nos bottle really kicks in to add about 30-40 hp and torque when used. Estimate hp/ torque about 320-350. Interior has usual sun fading in exposed spots upper door panels and dash near bottom of window, per photos. Just one small tear on upper corner of driver top seat. New boot for when top down. Top operates just fine up/down. Does not have windshield wiper motor nor wipers. Gas gauge does not work. AM/FM radio has add-on supplement with CD player. System mounted in trunk to feed the radio/CD player mounted bottom center of dash panel. Very little rust for age of car. Floor pans and trunk pan exceptionally good, as well as wheel wells. Notice wheels have Cragar mags. Believe car repainted in original color by checking trunk inside lid to door jambs and engine compartment. As see some primer spots in more hidden locations. So exterior paint quite good with usual wear and minor surface scratches and scrapes where seams run in some spots. Have not had to put in brakes, but they are good. Power steering and suspension just fine. Turn signals work intermittent, likely loose connection inside trunk area. Beautiful driver and have had in several local parades. Open to further comments and questions. Serious inquiries only. Selling car as live on lake and want spend more time with other activities. Failure to deposit $500 within 48 hours of agreed purchase voids transaction. If not local pickup, buyer must ship within 7 days or transaction voided.
