I have a 1995 Mercury Cougar, 3.8 liter V-6 Fuel Injected, Automatic Transmission, Rear Wheel Drive, Air Conditioning, Anti-Lock Brakes, Traction Control, Factory Alloy Wheels with stud locks, drivers seat is a power seat, electric windows, power side mirrors, and AM/FM Radio with cassette player. As stated the Automatic Transmission is bad and will require replacement. If one puts enough fluid in it, it will drive to load on a trailer. New Mexico title is clear and in hand! No rust on body!! The body is straight with the exception of one dent on the front Drivers quarter panel above and just in front of the wheel opening (pictured in photos). The drivers door has had the hinges replaced. Clear coat is peeling on most of the upper surfaces of the body. Interior has some sun fading and cracks in the interior vinyl. Seats are cloth with leather trim, some wear and tear is evident on the leather trim on the drivers seat. Front end has been overhauled, to include both upper control arms and lower ball joints, Drivers side inner tie rod end and both outer tie rod ends, followed by a front end alignment at a local shop. This car is well maintained and would make an excellent restoration starting place. At this time if I replaced the transmission I would not hesitate to take this vehicle on a extended cross country trip. After listing this Cougar I noticed the AutoCheck vehicle history report shows an issue with the mileage of the vehicle!! In the state of New Mexico if a vehicle is registered and is over 10 years old or the odometer reads in excess of 100,000 miles the clerks at the DMV put 0888888 or another erroneous combination of digits on the registration forms for the mileage. I have owned this Cougar since May of 2007. If "Buy it Now" option is chosen I will assist with transporting this vehicle within 150 miles of Carlsbad, NM or you can arrange for someone to haul it for you, your preference.
