Vehicle Detail

Ridiculously low reserve! So low that you may not ever see a 1972 start at the price mine is starting at. With that said, please, only bid if you’re serious about owning this 1972 Corvette which is amazing in the beautiful and original paint code 989, War Bonnet Yellow. As you can see in the pictures, we added a tiny bit of Pearl Flake which makes the War Bonnet paint truly jump. The pictures cannot possible do the paint or this classic Stingray the proper justice. If you’re not aware, the 1972 was the last year for the chrome bumper front and back Stingray making her even more highly desirable. These chrome bumper Corvettes are getting harder to find, let alone this nice. I am selling her for one reason only and that is to finance another restoration project. She has a GM 350 Chevy Engine (was told it was a crate when I bought it) with the Turbo 400 Trans and runs great, no drips anywhere. This unique 1972 Corvette came from the factory high optioned with: AC, Power Steering, Tilt/Telescopic Steering, and Deluxe Interior. The carpet is brand new. Two of the tires are brand new and the other two tires have less than 500 miles on them. She has 15 x 8 Rally Wheels, Rocker Molding. Please note, the ground effects were screwed on and only bonded on in front and behind door. Body was not cut for ground effects, so removal should be fairly easy if wanted. I think she looks amazing. New Bumper and left and right grills, has rear pop out window. She has a big block hood on her right now, again it makes this rare 1972 stand out even more. For those of you that have restored a corvette before, you already know that one of the hardest and most expensive endeavors is replacing all of the rubber seals/gaskets. This has been done already. The doors close and line up perfectly and even though she's not allowed out in the rain, she would have zero leaks should you take her out and get caught in the rain. Car has a clear title in. When I purchased this Corvette prior to her restoration, I was told it is a Crate motor, so numbers do not match. I believe this to be true as she runs quite strong. I have not had a dyno put on her but having driven other Corvettes from the same era she seems to pull more horsepower. Just an opinion. Comes with power steering. Speedometer works. Gauge Cluster in place; most of the gauges worked after the restoration; however, last month I noticed that it most were no longer working. Again, the speedometer is functioning. As you can see in the pictures, the headlights are up, I have since put them in the down position for ease of shipping. All of the vacuum components are there; however, the lights do not currently go up or down on their own. This is a non-issue for me as I drive her around town quite often; however, I do so on beautiful days only as I'm sure the winning bidder will too. The same is true about the wipers. Components are mostly there but is non-op. The same is true about the AC. I have the compressor but it is non-op. If you’ve never driven an antique car then you should know that the brakes are very different than a 2016 model. I drive the car often and I am used to an older car. If you haven’t, I encourage a test ride. I treat her as a weekend/show type of cruiser and she always and absolutely pleases all that she her going down the road. The paint on this car will leave your breathless. As nice as she is, please be aware again that this is not a Barrett-Jackson. There are some minor paint flaws. On the hood there is some bubbling. Because of the color of the paint it will not show in a picture. Now, before you proceed and contemplate bidding, let me share something about myself. I have been on EBay for 17 + years. I have bought cars and sold cars. It is fun and exciting. I have always treated the prospective sellers and buyers with proper respect. If I bid and win, I pay and communicate in the proper manner. I expect the same. I am not a negative person; however, having served our great country for 22 + years as a United States Marine, please be aware that I have almost zero tolerance for nonsense. If you're looking for easy prey, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere for a car or for someone else to jerk around. For those of you out there that enjoy rendering advice, I am not looking for any. I have made it 55 years on the planet without your advice. If you send me an email that is ridiculous, it will be deleted. If you send me a good honest email with a legitimate question, I will answer within minutes. I know that if you're an honest buyer you took no offense to what I just wrote. If you're not, move on as there's 90,000 + Cars on EBay right now. The car is located in beautiful Pensacola, FL. I live minutes from I-10 that is great news for any potential winner that needs her shipped. Shippers love this route. I know many shippers and can help make this transaction easy. So to summarize, this Stingray is very clean and runs awesome with the 350/ she puts out an estimated 270hp. She has new carpet, Rally wheels and 4 clip Beauty rings and center Hubs. Beautiful chrome, Paint color is absolutely spectacular. This car is for sale locally and owner reserves the right to close this auction at any time. I strongly encourage potential bidders to either come inspect the car or send a representative to do so. This 1972 Corvette is old AS-IS, no refunds, please bid carefully! What does As-Is mean? It is a legal term used to disclaim implied warranties for an item being sold. "As is" denotes that the seller is selling, and the buyer is buying an item in whatever condition it presently exists, and that the buyer is accepting the item "with all faults", whether or not immediately apparent. This means that the buyer should take the time to examine the item before accepting it, or obtain expert advice prior to purchasing the car. I have described this car as well as I can; however, I am not responsible for any mechanical omission as I am not a certified mechanic. There are no refunds on a 44 year old car, even one as beautiful as she is. The initial and non-refundable deposit of 500.00 must be done through PayPal. Remainder due within 5 working days and must be a Cashier Check or cash. As I'm sure you understand, this car under no circumstance will be released to you or your shipper until all funds are cleared in my account, Good Luck to all and God Bless.
