This is a 2-owner CL65 AMG that spent its life in Florida and Maryland. No accidents or bodywork EVER; everything is original. This CL65 also comes with its documented service history at authorized MB dealers. I already mounted the staggered 19” Hankook Ventus V12 performance tires, and it drives great. Replace some ABC suspension components, install an aftermarket radio/nav unit, and update some maintenance, and you're in a super nice 82K mile CL65 for only $20K! This car has gone through multiple pre-purchase inspections so I know exactly what it needs. No stories, so please read on to find out more. -- Here she is in all her glory -- Please let me stop you now if you are looking for a car that needs stuff but it's all a big questions mark, like most of them for sale. This is not that car. I am hired by clients to buy over twenty AMG and 600-series Mercedes each year, and I can tell you there are TWO things I look for: a car with an excellent service history, in all-original condition This is that car. I then take it for two additional inspections, and my mechanic and I make a list of everything needed. I have that list, and can do it all, or you can buy it at a dramatically reduced price and do the work yourself with me supplying my part deals to save you buckets of money. I bought this CL65 because it was very nice cosmetically and in good shape mechanically with some updating needed to maintenance and repairs. Now you can 'steal' it and make it (at the BIN price) even better. There are beater CL65’s, nice CL65's, and mint CL65’s. This one will be mint or beyond…..period. Here's the deal: -- This is a 2005 CL65 AMG in 744 metallic brilliant silver paint over 581 charcoal leather interior, with matching charcoal carpets and headliner. It has root burlwood interior wood trim as well. It looks like a million bucks, with no real oxidation or wear anywhere. This car was LOVED and it shows, with only two owners since new. -- Exterior 9 out of 10 - Great overall ORIGINAL condition paint, body, glass, and trim. No dings. No dents. A few thin line touched-up scratches and tiny rock chips here and there. This CL65 looks amazing, with a deep shine to the metallic silver paint that's like looking into an endless mirror. This car looks great even under fluorescent light in a garage. Imagine getting an 11 year old car with no swirl marks or spiderwebs in the paint….amazing! -- -- The lower side-body moldings are in great shape. The chrome, rubber, glass, and trim is all excellent and original. No oxidation, fade, wear, etc. as you might expect of an 11 year old car. Look at the body panels.....they are laser straight. -- -- This CL65 is nicely optioned, with an original MSRP of more than $180K! Options include keyless go, sat radio, TPMS, trunk closer, and the usual 600-series equipment like massage/multi-contour seats, bi-xenon headlights, hand-stitched leather everything, alcantara headliner, and much more. Wow! -- -- It currently wears 19” MB OEM AMG wheels, all true with some minor marks here and there. The tires I reaplced already with a set of matching Hankook Ventus V12 staggered performance tires with about 70% tread remaining. This CL65 goes arrow-straight down the road at high speed with no shimmy, pull, or anything else. -- -- Interior 9.75 out of 10 - The interior overall including all seating and door leather, seat padding, dash, console, wood, and carpets are in excellent and original condition. No dash cracks, carpet rips, basically zero wear of any kind in the interior. Even the driver's seat bolster looks new and unused! Everything looks and feels near-new. This is not the typical worn CL-class - this car was an 82K mile garage queen every day of its life and it shows. These pictures are without even any type of detailing, just a wash and a vacuum off the truck to PA. There is no dullness or fade to anything…it’s fantastic. All wood trim is dark and glossy without and cracks or fading. -- -- The door panels and wood trim are also in great shape, like the rest of the car. -- -- Even the trunk and spare are mint, spare and tools in place. -- -- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors/memory/pulse, and power mirrors work perfectly. Vacuum lock system, remote key, keyless go, interior lights all operating as they should. -- -- Dealer service history is included. Lots of service! And let’s spend a moment discussing the lemon-law buyback of this car back in 2007 when the car had 27K miles. The COMAND radio and navigation unit did not work properly. After three attempts to fix it, Mercedes USA bought the car back for $177,023!! That’s right, because the radio did not work, Mercedes shelled out almost two hundred thousand dollars due to the lemon-law process! Ouch. The next owner did not bother fixing it. Just install (or if you pay the higher price, I will install) a more modern third-party radio/nav unit that includes 3D navigation and bluetooth for phone and music, at no additional charge. The HVAC system is fast to respond, and operates perfectly with scalding hot heat and ice-cold A/C. Seat heaters and seat ventilation all working properly. -- -- Mechanical 10 out of 10 - Engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong with all 604HP present and accounted for. Transmission is smooth yet very aggressive, and downshifts eagerly to catapult you into the next county. No abrupt engagement, just silky smooth shifts. She runs at high speed with no vibrations or noises. -- -- This CL65 has received THREE inspections to uncover any issues, obvious or subtle. A pre-purchase overall inspection with cosmetic inspection (scored a 4.0 out of 5.0 which is fantastic!) and test drive, a suspension/brake/wheel/tire/exhaust inspection, and a Benz specialist shop has gone over the car as well. After their final and thorough inspection for any problems, the list is done and with my help you can procure ALL the parts needed for about $3K. -- -- Engine is VERY strong and VERY eager to run, transmission smooth and ready to drop down two gears at your command to rocket you past slower traffic. Brakes are solid and pedal feel is firm. Suspension is tight like new, no worn tie rod ends, ball joints, struts, or anything else. Steering nicely weighted with no play in the box. ZERO leaks or noises. This car drives and handles like new. This CL65 comes with all the books, tools, carfax, mats, remote key, and line-list of EVERY SINGLE MB service visit since new, all the way back to day one! -- -- This CL65 does not have any signs of significant wear; no rubber rot, no leaks, no lukewarm A/C....NOTHING. Everything is in fantastic shape, and at only 82K miles, it's not even close to broken in yet! -- -- At the BIN price, you do the work, I help source the parts at Great prices. Or you can pay $23.5K, and I will source the parts AND do all the work for you, so the car is 100% turnkey ready to roll.
