Vehicle Detail
THIS IS A FIVE DAY AUCTION WITH NO RESERVE STARTING AT ONE PENNY. THIS VEHICLE IS BEING RELISTED DUE TO EBAY GUIDELINES STATING I MUST LIST TITLE AS "SALVAGE" FROM OHIO IN 1997 WHEN THE CAR WAS ONE YEAR OLD. THE VEHICLE TITLE IS NO LONGER BRANDED AND IS A CLEAN KENTUCKY TITLE. I'M NOT TRYING TO MISLEAD ANYONE, JUST GOING BY THE RULES THAT MAKE EBAY A SAFE PLACE TO BUY AND SELL. SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION. For Sale by auction is my 1996 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible with the Grand Sport LT-4 upgraded driveline package WITH ONLY 44,000 ORIGINAL MILES!!! This is the Grand Sport Engine and Transmission package that was available in any 1996 Corvette if ordered as such from the factory. This is a rare bird to begin with the, add the low miles, the color combination and its a very desirable car! The 5.7 liter LT-4 is far more than just a red intake and here are the specs comparing the LT1 and the LT4... I will put all details that I can think of in this auction plus all pics super sized so please read all and if you have any questions, my phone number is at the end of the listing. Black on black with a red leather interior. 6 speed manual, close ratio with 3 shifting modes; Touring, Sport and Performance. Clutch is strong. Brakes are great! Runs like a scalded dog. Clean underneath. Drivers seat has some wear but no rips or tears. Dash in in great shape. All lights interior and exterior work. All gauges work. Nonsmoker. Convertible top is in good shape. Exhaust is rather quiet, but sounds great anyway. Headlights roll up and down with no hesitation. Tilt steering. Horn and cruise do not work. Most likely a fuse. I just haven't gotten into this thing except to drive once in a while. The a/c blows cold but sometimes at the defrost and sometimes on the floor and sometimes on the dash. Little hinky, but with the top down you'll never need a/c! No check engine lights. All in all a great car. Starts right up every time. The body is in need of paint. You could do an entire repaint or just hit the areas in need of perfecting. Someone put a lowering ground effects kit on it that I had professionally removed, but the ground effects rocker panels are still on the car as I did not have the original rocker panels to replace lowering kit rockers. It also needs a battery cover on the drivers side as someone thought you could just pop off the cover with a screwdriver!!! I think you should have to have some kind of instruction class before being allowed to own such a car as this!!! Car was in a wreck in the late 90's when it had around 10K miles on it. Some fiberglass body parts/panels were replaced from different color vettes and the paint is starting to show its age but still looks good at 5-10 feet. All doors and hood shut properly. I took closeups of areas starting to show wear/bubbling. The car has a clean Kentucky Title IN MY NAME so no shenanigans for transfer to new owner. If you'd like to come see the car, have it inspected, test drive (actually, I'll do the driving with you...) do a walk around on FaceTime, have a friend inspect it for you, etc. then give me a call. I'm on Eastern time. 270 872 7507. I am 45 minutes south of Louisville, KY. I can ship this to you for $1.25/loaded mile up to 500 miles.
