This is a 1968 Chevrolet C20 long bed Camper Special. The truck was manufactured at the Chevrolet Fremont California plant and was sold at Fletchers Chevrolet Inc. in Encino California. To my great grandfather who bought it brand new and then passed it on to me. The truck has 62,047 original miles and has been well taken care of for the majority of its life. The truck is in good running condition and was on the highway last year. It has a brand new set of tires, has a new windshield still in the box, new dash pad still in the box, and a correct year tail gate with brakets. The truck has a new Champion radiator installed in it and a new fuel pump. The water pump does need to be replaced. It came with all the available options for that year including Air Conditiong, Brake Booster, Power Steering, Bucket Seats, AM push button stereo, small block 327ci V8 with a four barrel carbuator and a Turbo-Hydramatic 400 transmission. Has front and rear coil spring suspension. Factory Drum Brakes. The truck is original white but has a cheap primer coating to help protect against rust. there is very little body damage that mainly consists of a few dents in the chrome trim and one or two in the bed side. There is also very little rust on the truck. The truck is mechcanicaly sound, besides for the water pump, and only needs cosmitic work. It could use new paint and a new interior with a good cleaning. but as it sits it would make a good ranch or work truck. This truck would also make for an excellent restoration project for the right person.
