Selling my perfectly maintained E39 BMW 540i. This is the v8 model with a manual transmission and all the options. All of the maintenance typically required of a BMW of this age and type has been taken care of, things like the coolant system, drive shaft, flex disc, engine/coolant/vanos/timing gaskets, etc. It is not in mint condition by any stretch, but mechanically is sound. It is a high mileage vehicle and may require the timing chain guides to be replaced shortly as that is something that I haven't done. It has a custom aftermarket exhaust, and a bluetooth/aux/usb audio add in so you can stream your tunes even though it's an older car. I have full service records from the previous owner as well as my own, all work was performed by a certified BMW master tech while I owned it. While this car with its' M type option package and color would normally sell in the 8k range, due to the clear coat peeling, the high mileage, the dinged hood, and other small cosmetic blemishes I'm selling it for quite a bit less. I've owned this car for over two years and driven it daily, and taken it on a couple of long road trips with nary a hitch. This has the full sport option package so it rides a lot stiffer than what you might expect from a BMW luxury sedan, but it handles like a sports car. (albeit a very heavy one) This car is located in Columbia, South Carolina, and can be driven anywhere in the US upon purchase. (Places like Jersey or California might have emission issues though if you want to keep it there) There is a small rust bubble on the inside of the driver door, I've included a picture of it.
