For sale is a 1998 Suzuki Katana 750 that has the original toolkit and user manual--see the pictures! This is a perfect intro bike that has plenty of power. The 750cc engine size will grow with you as you expand on your skills and abilities. History of the bike:This is a great bike that was loved. I've owned it for almost 14 years and it has always been reliable and solid when it was in the regular rotation. Hoping this tourer goes to a good home! I moved to Nashville somewhat recently and it was parked about 18 months ago and the carbs were gummed up when I pulled it out of storage. I have rebuilt the carburetors and replaced all gaskets, floats, o-rings and seals, but the carbs need to be synced and tuned. I'm not a mechanic so I got tired of dealing with the issues. Also, the brakes need to be bled and the fluid flushed. I do not think it can be driven until the carbs are synced/set up and the brake issues addressed. The engine ran fine prior to storage - I believe it's simply an issue with the carbs needing to be synced. However, I'm not a mechanic so please ask any questions you need to and I'll try my best to answer as best I can. I'll happily let you or your mechanic take a look at the bike prior to you bidding. I do not know of any other issues, but there may be others. This is an older bike, so please have it thoroughly checked prior to riding if you're the winner. Condition of the bike:Chain has less than 1,000 miles, good conditionTires have less than 1,000 miles, good condition (Battlax)Brakes = as stated above, they need to be worked on. It sat without moving for 18 months and some air has gotten into the brake lines making them mushy. Paint = Some scratches but overall in fair conditionEngine = Ran great without any issues prior to letting it sit - with tuned carbs I think it will run well. I've kept up on the oil changes and the oil was changed this spring when I rebuilt the carbs. Note that right now it will start but does not idle well. Happy bidding!
