For sale is a 1975 Honda 400 Super Sport. I got it on a trade and have not done anything to it. The engine does turn with the kick start, but I didn't even bother trying to actually start it. I assume it's been sitting awhile, so the carbs probably need to be cleaned. It has some damage which is evident from the pictures, but it's not so bad that it's not worth fixing up. From what I see the side cover is broke, the battery cover is missing, engine side cover is scratched. Headlight back is cracked. Start button is gone? There's a hole for the start button but it's missing the button. The front fender is slightly bent, but looks like it could easily be tweaked back. The tank has a small dent which I tried to picture, but seems to be in decent shape with minimal rust in the tank. The seat doesn't appear original. The exhaust seems ok, but is kind of close to the rear wheel. I imagine the bracket is not right or something. The turn signals are in a state of broken or missing as you can see. The front brake was stuck. The person I got it from opened the bleeder and thought it would help free it up. It is currently just a bit tough to roll around. The rear brake seems to work though. It does seem to shift into and out of gear fine. It seems have decent compression. I assume it is capable of running with a good tune up/carb clean. The bike has a clear title and the vin on the title matches the vin on the engine which is typical of these old bikes. It is CB400FE1029782. The miles are indicated on the pictures and are 9832.1 miles. The suspension seems to function, I don't know if the shocks need a rebuild or not, just that they didn't seem to be stuck or anything odd. I've tried to be as honest and forthcoming as I could with this listing. I want whoever buys it to be happy with their purchase. I know this bike needs some work, but I also know it has a lot of collector value, and because it's an inline 4 that it is a higher output engine for its displacement of 408cc.
