The only way you know it’s used is by looking at the odometer. Smoothest bike I’ve ever owned (I’ve owned 8, and six of them were BMW’s). Garage kept, adult owned, gently broken in, ridden only by me, only ridden occasionally around town and once on a weekend trip. Never taken to a track, never down, never dropped, kept on a battery tender. A real museum piece. Can’t say enough, this is a fantastic motorcycle and I’ve taken darn good care of her. Not a single scratch or blemish on the bike; the side cases have a couple spots on them from rain but that’s it. Serviced at Adventure BMW in Chesapeake VA for the break-in (June 2014). And the annual was done at Adventure Motorsports of NW Florida (May 2015 @ 1505 miles). The bike has never had a problem, so no other maintenance visits. Bike is currently at 1651 miles, and hasn’t been ridden much since the last service, only small trips. Full transferrable factory warranty from BMW, which is good through Dec 27 2016. Priced for a quick sell, but I do wish to give it a good home. Only selling because I haven’t had the time to ride it with my new job. New bike price on this model with all accessories was $18,795 from the dealer in Virginia, not including dealer fees/tax/tag/title or installation/key matching of the side cases and mounts. Side cases were $800 not $400 like most websites list, that’s for just one case. The K1300S was never a ricer, cheapie sport bike, this is a highly refined and sophisticated machine. And this particular bike is in fantastic shape at a fantastic price. Check around. Owned the K1200S in the past (a 2008 model) and the K1300S just outshines at everything. In particular the quick shifter, which puts you in the next higher gear in the blink of an eye. You will not be disappointed with this motorcycle. Comes with a practically new MRA Touring Windscreen ($238, added last year), Throttlemeister friction bar ends ($144, also practically new), BMW expandable side cases (key-matched), and a BMW-installed Police Harness attached to the accessory socket for high-amp full-body heated gear. This bike is the real deal. I don’t like to haggle or wait around for folks to pay a higher price. Worth it to me to sell for cheap to the right buyer who will treat her right, and offer a pleasant transaction. The factory windscreen will be included with the bike at the starting price listed on this auction (I have it in a box with all hardware). I’ve sold two motorcycles on eBay, and a motorcycle trailer, all good experiences. Looking forward to another good experience.
