Up for Auction direct from the museum floor. This classic, one owner, was once owned by a prominent Texas family, and comes with original documentation. The car was purchased in may, 1953 for philanthropist and business woman, Mary Moody Northen. The car was last used in 1968 and sat unused until it had a partial restoration in 2003, and put on display at the Moody Mansion Museum in Galveston Texas. As mentioned, the original documentation consists of the sales proposal, letter from the dealer, vehicle registration, with 1968 window inspection. The car is owned by the Mountain Lake Conservancy, LLC, a non profit endowment located in Pembroke Virginia, the car is located in Galveston Texas. As mentioned, the car is not a driver, it will start, but it is not in running condition, most likely the motor needs rebuilding. The car is an excellent candidate for a total restoration to bring it back to it's former glory.
