Up for auction is an unrestored Wards Riverside 125. It starts easy and runs great. The bike is very clean and only has a very light amount of patina/corrosion throughout simply due to its age. It is mostly original as far as paint and pin striping, however the tank decals have been covered up with MV Agusta decals (previous owner). The tires are original, however I installed a new tube in the rear last fall. I replaced the peg rubbers with replicas of the originals. The only thing not functioning that I know of is the speedometer cable is broken, so this also means the odometer is off. I have probably only put about 150 miles on it since I purchased it two years ago. Also, since these bikes function with or without a battery I have never verified the horn or the brake light functions, these only operate with a battery fitted. However the headlight and taillight always function off the magneto. The bike has low handlebars fitted, but I do have the original bars that will be included if the buyer wants them. I have always run the bike with Sunoco premium 93 or 94 (keeping it free of ethanol and replicating the octane levels of vintage leaded 'regular' gas) and Amsoil Interceptor synthetic two stroke oil at a 40-50:1 ratio depending on the temperature. These bikes are right side shift with a heel-toe shifter with a one up (back) three down (forward) shift pattern. This has been a great bike, and my third red Wards 125, however I just don't ride it as much as my other bikes anymore. This is a fantastic little bike with a real vintage Italian racer look, and just enough patina to verify it's originality. Bike is sold as is. Buyer is responsible for shipping.
