This Jeep comes with a clean Carfax, indicating that it has never been wrecked, has always been properly serviced and has always resided south of the salt belt. It also has a clear, unencumbered Georgia title and is currently registered.This Rubicon is currently owned by its third keeper. The first owner was a retired military officer living in Virginia. He added an alarm with remote start.The current owner, who is retired and resides in Georgia, keeps the Rubicon under lock and key at home as a third vehicle. He has owned several jeeps (the most recent a 1947 CJ-2A) and bought this exceptional Rubicon to traverse the North Carolina and Tennessee portions of the Trans-America trail (transamtrail.com), which this Jeep tackled with ease. This LJ is the most incredibly technical jeep the owner has ever had and he has never been so impressed by an off-road vehicle. However, he has decided that now, since he has time on his hands these days, he would go back to his roots and restore an early MB military Jeep. Given that the Rubicon is only driven occasionally at best, he has asked me to offer it for sale here on Ebay so that he may make room for his future project. The engine starts easily and runs very well. The transmission shifts smoothly and there are no strange noises emanating from anywhere. The steering and suspension are firm but compliant and the overall ride is very good. The original paint is in excellent condition and shines very well. There is a ding (as seen in the pictures) below the windshield wiper on the panel behind the hood but there is very little to set this Jeep apart from a new one, except that it is of better quality. If you have been looking for a really nice, very well equipped Rubicon LJ that has low miles, has always been under-utilized and has lived a pampered existence, this is the one. The Rubicon Unlimited is one of the most capable off-road vehicles ever made and this is one of the nicest examples you will ever find.This Jeep has had a very easy life so far but stands ready for that bucket list trip to Moab Rim, or as a command vehicle in a Middle-East insurgency, or even as the ultimate Zombie Apocalypse bug out vehicle, you name it.
