1988 Jeep Wrangler for sale. Has 2001 4.0 HO EFI motor, ECU/engine harness installed, NV3550 5sp trans and NP231 transfer case all pulled from 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport HO that rolled in 2004 with just over 40k miles on it.Clean non-salvage, CA non-op title in my name in hand (no back fees due). California Jeep, so no rust issues! Chassis has 131k miles, 33 x 12.50 tires with nearly 100% tread, 6" lift? (unsure), sway bar with disconnects, air raid intake, flowmaster exhaust with '01 header/dual mini cats (CA equipment), '01 instrument cluster and transfer case shifter. Body good, paint good, full hard top & solid doors, plus bikini top & 1/2 soft doors, non door mounted mirrors included, interior bed-liner coated. Warn 8000 winch, 31 x 10.5 spare tire, receiver hitch, nerf bars. Also includes brand new tow bar (2" ball). I planned on driving this Jeep for many years, wanted it be be reliable for my family, so did it right. Ran out of money...my loss is your gain. Failed to smog in CA as '01, OBDII complete and works, no codes. May not be an issue to register in other states, check before you buy.Tags expired in 2007, has been garaged since then. Runs and drives good, shifts smoothly. No known mechanical issues, I would drive it as is if I could get license plate current. I had rear drive shaft shortened for swap, front drive shaft (included) is too long and will need to be shortened for 4x4. Shifts smoothly into low range and drives like it should. This Jeep chassis is nearly 30 years old so is not perfect, but is in very good condition considering its age. Motor, transmission and transfer case excellent. Reserve price is less than buy it now price. I will assist shippers or you can pick it up in person. Jeep is for sale locally, if it sells I will end listing early. Reserve is $4,500.
