This Beetle really is a runner. I bought it from my uncle who is a mechanic. It has a new timing belt, new tires, new battery, new mass air, new air and fuel filters and good brakes. It gets 50mpg and has a range of 500 miles a tank. The engine has a lot of life yet. Does not burn oil, smoke and starts in the cold. All signs of a healthy Diesel. Seriously rust free.So the not so good. It is pulling a code for glow plugs out of range. So to put the light out it will need glow plugs which I priced out at a whopping 8 bucks each (needs 4). Not sure how involved the job is. Also has an ABS light on. Was told by my uncle it needs new brushes on the ABS pump. Cheap parts again but not sure how involved of a job. Minor stuff like inside like some of the interior is coming down. Needs to be glued back up. Mechanically very sound it does 80mph with no shakes and pulls.
