Vehicle Detail
1974 Suzuki TS-400 with only 5,586 original miles. Original Non-Restored - OEM condition. This bike is a very nice original example in very good cosmetic condition and in excellent condition with respect to engine & electrics. I have ran the bike about 400+ miles this last summer in 3 different Vintage Two Stroke street ride events with out issues. There are some small nicks in the tank's paint (right side) but no dents - the pictures will provide very good evidence of it's condition. It's the best un-restored one I've ever seen. No rust or corrosion. In fact most of the warning & info stickers are still on the bike in various places. Please study all the pictures and ad text and ask any questions that you may have. This bike is original except for the following renewable items I have installed for safe and reliable and FUN operation- 01- New Upper & Lower Tapered Head Bearings. 02- New IRC tires / tubes / rim liners both front & rear. 03- New front fender. 04- New battery. 05- New Chain & sprockets. 06- Fuel Petcock internals rebuilt. 07- Carb rebuilt with new Suzuki OEM parts and jetted to perfection! 08- New OEM foam/oil air filter. 09- Gas tank lined with POR-15. 10- New upgraded design Rectifier/Regulator combo - solves the old original problems. FYI - The bike was originally titled in another state as a 1973 even though the VIN Plate on the frame clearly says it was mfg. in 06/1974. See pictures. When I did the title transfer here in Oregon into my name - I found that it just wasn't worth the brain damage dealing with the non-mind possessors at Oregon's DMV office to have the year changed on the out of state title to correctly state 1974 on the new Oregon title. They just didn't want to be confused with the facts - so it was titled here in Oregon as a 1973. When you drive this bike you'll think it's a tug boat with all the low end grunt it has. It's fun to drive around at 2,500 - 3,000 RPMs And, It only redlines at 6,000 RPMs. It's doing 60 MPH around 4,000 RPMs. I have posted a Video on You-Tube to verify it runs correctly and that everything works as it should. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vj6uTLkw3pc This bike has a Oregon "SPECIAL INTEREST" license plate because of it vintage status and the plate NEVER has to be renewed and is good forever without any costs going forward. If the buyer of this bike lives in Oregon the "SPECIAL INTEREST" Plate will go with the bike. If the buyer is out of the state of Oregon I will keep the plate & transfer it to one of my other bikes in my collection. Lastly the original owner I purchased the bike from threw a chain in the past & it broke off a very small piece above the top of front sprocket cover - Please note this in the pictures. It's a non vital area and doesn't affect anything mechanical. If you choose to bid on this beautiful motorcycle have you finances lined up BEFORE the end of the Auction.
