Vehicle Detail
Gentlemen, Up for bid I have my 1987 Chevrolet 1/2 ton, short bed, fleet side, 4 X 4, 350 cid (not 305), 700 R4 automatic o/d, and Warn locking front hubs. As we all know, this was the last year for this body style and first year of fuel injection, TBI. This truck is not, I repeat, is not a Silverado but rather is a Custom Deluxe. I am pretty much a stock GM parts guy and tried to keep everything as stock as possible. I did spend a ton of cash at LMC Truck for new GM replacement parts but new Custom Deluxe emblems are not available so rather than buying used junkie looking emblems I bought new Silverado emblems and gave them to my paint/body guy to install. The truck was painted about 3 months ago and turned out well as you can see. I also had the bed liner sprayed in for a small fortune and I must say I think it was worth it. I had the interior done including door panels, complete dash (not the glued on skin cover pad), arm rests, pull handles, new seat foam, and of course new upholstery. When I bought the truck the interior was ALL blue and it was just too much so I changed it to gray. The odometer reads 60.000 miles and the owner before me had the motor/transmission/both differentials rebuilt and it runs very well. It does not use a drop of oil does not have a puff of smoke when it is started and looking at the transmission it is obvious that it was recently rebuilt, really shifts great. The truck does not have a/c and I had intended to install a Vintage Air unit but couldn’t spend ANOTHER grand on it. The tires are Michelin 31 X 10.50 X 15 and rims are stock GM rally wheels. The truck has not been lifted, and is stock height. I’m pretty sure you can tell, I’ve spent a bunch on this truck and never will get it back but I’m 63 years old and mostly enjoy just doing the project. The winning bidder will obviously get a clear California pink slip and if new owner is here in California I will have it smogged. I’ve also advertised the truck locally and reserve the right to remove from Ebay at any point. Please don’t ask for more pictures because I’ve already wasted too much time doing this and I’m working on another project most likely to lose more cash, what can I say, I’m a true gear head. Please look at my feedback, I’m not a flake, please make sure this is what you want and can afford it before bidding.
