Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my Fathom Blue 1970 Nova SS 396. This is a REAL SS 396/375 L78 Nova, NOT a Clone, Tribute, or Re-creation. This is an absolutely stunning Nova that looks even better in person! It is a blast to drive and gets a ton of compliments everywhere it goes! I bought it from a guy that owned it for 20 years and had bought it from the original owner. The original 396 was blown up long ago and it now has a fresh 555 cid Dart Block with Pro Comp Aluminum rectangle port heads, H beam rods, 4340 steel crank, new Holley carb, Hooker headers, Hydraulic cam, Roller rockers, etc.. This is a pump gas engine that has a Ton of torque and horsepower. There is over $10K in motor alone. Has nearly new Mickey Thompson Drag Radials on the rear along with Caltrac traction bars. The transmission is a Muncie 4 speed. The original CBT code 355:1 12 bolt posi rear end is still in the car along with its original big block radiator support, original big block heater core, original front power disc brakes, etc.. This rear end was standard for the 1970 375hp L78 Novas. This Nova Looks, Sounds, Runs and Drives Awesome! This Car is Very Fast and not for the novice or unskilled driver! It has had one repaint in its original Fathom Blue and the black vinyl top was added according to trim tag but looks original. Body is laser straight and rust free. I would give the paint a 9 on a 10 scale only because there are a few imperfections that most people wouldn't even notice. Paint has a beautiful mirror finish. All body panels appear to be original as well as the trunk and floors. Body gaps are beautiful and doors, hood, and trunk open and close solid and tight. There is a little typical surface rust in trunk and underneath where the paint or coating has been scraped. The undercarriage is beautiful, straight, and solid as well. The front subframe was professionally modified and reinforced to allow for ease of oil pan removal. Car also has frame connectors for added strength. All glass and trim moldings are in excellent condition. The black custom bench seat interior is in excellent condition and mostly original. There are 2 small repairable cuts in the driver's seat and headrest and the carpet has a couple minor in the front. I have attempted to be very thorough in my description and pictures of this Nova, however, it is possible that I may have unintentionally missed or overlooked something so I encourage all potential buyers to inspect this vehicle prior to making a potentially winning bid. There is No warranty or guarantee with this vehicle. Shipping is the full responsibility and cost to the buyer. Buyer to pay $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction end and balance within 5 days of auction end unless other arrangements are accepted by seller prior to auction end. I will only accept a Bank Wire Transfer, Bank Deposit, or Cash in Person for Payment. I will also accept Paypal for $500 Deposit Only. Car is also listed locally so I reserve the right to end auction at any time. My Reserve is Very Very Reasonable for this Nova so keep bidding and you may just get a really great deal. My name is Donnie and I can be called or texted at 561-876-8038 for any questions regarding this car. Please have any questions/concerns satisfied before buying. I'm sure that the lucky winner will be thrilled with this amazing SS Nova!
