1968 Ford Mustang GT tribute, with many drivetrain upgrades. Original 289 V8, four speed fastback, with deluxe interior. Original Royal Maroon exterior color remains, with older repaint. That also means NO known rust issues, as I have went over the car with a magnet. The underside was coated, prior to my purchase. Body appears to have all original sheet (metal fender & VIN matches). Car handles and performs very smooth, with no shakes or vibrations. I had the car looked over and gone thru, by a local professional muscle car restoration and repair shop, immediately after purchase. Below are the upgrades/maintenance. Less than 5K, since these modifications were made, all prior to my purchase. Car is always garage kept, not driven at night or during wet weather: * 351W SVO crate engine. 385-400hp with very strong cam. * 5 speed Tremec T-5 transmission. * 28 spline driveshaft w/ posit trac rear end. * Under Rider traction bars. * MSD ignition and spark kit. * Optima Red Top battery. * Serpentine kit. * Aluminum radiator w/15" electric fan. * GT badges, fog lamps, suspension and gas cap. The upgrades made far exceed the original GT version. Replaced items (see pictures): * Steering box and components. * Tower braces, supports and shocks. * Upper and Lower control arms. * Front discs, bearings, axle seals, bearings. * Rear drum shoes, cylinders, axle bearings, seals, shocks and leaf springs (car has 1" Shelby lower on front & rear). * American Racing 17" wheels (retail for $270/ea) w/ BF Goodrich g-Force tires (235/45 ZR17). * over $15k in upgrades/replacements, as pictures of receipts will show. As you can see by the pictures, this 48 yr. old classic handles well and is a thrill to drive, with plenty of pep. The car always is a popular head-turner, no matter where you go. I also have the original, low back seats seat, that are included, along with car cover. Below are some items that are not attached or working, at this time, all of which would require removal of dash to correct: *heater components. Heater box and core were removed and will be included in sale.*tachometer wiring will need wire re-attached.*windshield wiper knob and cable needs to be re-attached (I do not know if the motor was operable prior).*original Philco radio will come on, but not tuned. Having given the most accurate depiction, that I can, please understand this is not a show quality car, but a very solid driver and is priced accordingly.
