Vehicle Detail

OK, This is a car I bought from an auction to fix up for my personal use. Unfortunately, I now have too many projects and work is also taking up a lot of my time. I no longer have the time or interest to work on it. This will be an easy fix project for an enthusiast. The car was totaled because of some undercarriage damage. The left front suspension had collapsed, and there was damage to the right rear door and quarter panel. There was no exhaust from the catalytic converter. Also, the previous owner had eliminated the engine driven fan and converted to an electric one, but he removed it sometime after the car was declared a total loss. So there was no fan. The engine never overheated, it runs within the normal temp range on the auxiliary fan. The car has only 108000 miles and drives great. Engine runs perfect, with no abnormal noises. All windows and rear blind works. Unfortunately, there is a crunch in the gearbox when shifting into 3rd and 4th gears. It is not always present though. I replaced the door and suspension components, including the whole tie rod assembly. I also installed a new Magna Flow exhaust, which sounds amazing! I purchased from Zionsville auto sport, an all aluminum radiator shroud / reservoir bottle assembly, and electric fan for about $400. But I never got round to installing it. I will include this for free if the car sells above the reserve price. The car badly needs an alignment. The steering wheel points an an angle. I just did not have the time to take it to an alignment shop. Because of the angle of the steering wheel, the traction control system is off because the steering angle sensor cannot accurately determine the position of the wheels. The check engine light comes on at times. I can clear the steering angle sensor errors with P.A. Soft BMW scanner 1.4, but the light comes on as soon as the wheel is turned. There is a dent in the trunk lid and right rear quarter panel. Also a dent on the right rear and left front skirts, as seen in the pictures. I did purchase and test fit an M5 bumper from Umnitza.com, and that will come with the car. I was going to get the front M5 bumper, but never did. Ask any questions if I have not covered everything here, or if you need pictures of a particular area. Like I said above, this will be a great project for a mechanic or BMW enthusiast. I will require a $500 deposit by paypal at the close of the auction, and the rest by wire or CASH on pickup, You are responsible to pick it up or arrange shipping. I will help in any way I can. Car has a California salvage title. I will provide title and a bill of sale. Thanks, enjoy bidding.
