1948 Dodge D24 Club Coupe - Restored - NO RESERVE! See VIDEO. 1948 Dodge D24 Club Coupe NO RESERVE - WILL SELL TO THE HIGH BIDDER. This is a restored Dodge D24 Club Coupe. Rare to find with NO RUST. Always an Oregon car (where we don't salt the roads.) Restored about 2 years ago. Here's what was done: Body and exterior: • RUST FREE body re-painted in correct 1948 "Squad Red" color. • Bumpers re-chromed. Stainless trim polished. • New radial whitewall tires (5) with new correct hubcaps. Interior: • Seats re-upholstered. Correct style stitching. • New carpet. • New headliner. • New rubber door sill plates. • Beautifully preserved original woodgrained dashboard and window moldings. (No leaks!) • Refinished steering wheel. Mechanicals: • Original flathead 6 cylinder engine rebuilt. Excellent compression. Runs smooth and strong. • Radiator cleaned and repaired. New thermostat. New hoses. Rebuilt water pump. Runs cool. • Rebuilt starter, generator, regulator. Original 6 volt electrical system. • New 6 volt Optima battery (12/2015.) • Rebuilt Fluid Drive 3-speed transmission. Shifts well. • Complete brake system rebuilt (2015): Turned drums, New brake linings, rebuilt master cylinder and wheel cylinders, new hoses, new emergency brake cable. All properly adjusted. Overall, this is a great looking, great driving Dodge Coupe. I would not hesitate to jump in it tomorrow and drive across the country. It is dialed-in mechanically and runs beautifully around town, and on the highway. It is optioned with bumper guard, and working deluxe heater and defroster. Radio and clock are present but not hooked up. All gauges work and all lights including headlights, brake lights, turn signals and interior lights, work. If you have been looking for a Dodge Coupe that's ready-to-go, this is a good one. It draws crowds wherever it goes. While it is completely stock, if you are looking for a solid candidate to upgrade or hot-rod, this will save you a LOT of work. It's ready for any drivetrain modifications you may desire.
